What's New?

Some Lightbearers Adventurers joined the church's summer picnic at the Centre Island

Summer is almost over. Before the winter cold covers Toronto in few weeks, the Socials committee, headed by Joe Regoso, decided to make use of the dimishing summer breeze to spend time in the Center Island at lake Ontario.

This activity has long been planned but some members were not able to make it due to busy schedules.

Count does not always mean success. How the event was managed is what matters most. Happy faces were seen on those who attended this family-like picnic. Food were pooled and shared in one table. Mrs. de Guzman walked around and shared her special "casava" desert to everyone - a special treat to all Mt. Zion folks before they leave for the Philippines this September. Each moment stayed in that place was well spent.

How time flies! Good-bye summer. See 'ya in 2001. It is sad to see you go...but we keep a good memory of you this year of 2000.

Souveneir photos are posted in Picnic at Center Island.

Concert was finally done...

The Adventurers have just concluded a very successful concert at the St. Catherines SDA Church last Saturday, 19th of August 2000. Pictures of rehearsal, concert, audience, picnic at the park and reception at Dr. and Mrs. Poblete's residence are posted in the Images Concert 2000 section of this site.

To the kids, parents and participants of this ministry, congratulations for a job well done! God bless your talents.

The Lightbearers would like to thank Neil Adap for the video presentation, the Poblete's for coordinating the event and hosting a dinner to the group, Suzette for the rehearsals, Darlene for fascilitating teamwork, parents for supporting the kids and cooperation, Staff and St. Catherines SDA church for giving the Lightbearers an opportunity to minister their church through music.

To those I forgot to mention, thank you as well. Please remind me when I see you in church and I will add you in the list.
